New “User-friendly” Patio Door Replaces Cumbersome Hinged French Door – Cleveland
Stanek® Windows Featured Project – December 2014
A poorly insulated, contractor-grade, hinged French door in Concord Township, Ohio, was recently replaced with a new patio door by Stanek Windows of Cleveland, Ohio.
The homeowners complained that the old steel door radiated cold and was inefficient. Also, the hinged door was difficult to open without bumping into the furniture. After an in-home visit, a design consultant from Stanek Windows recommended a Stanek sliding, two-lite patio door to solve the issues with the old door.
Sliding, rather than hinged, doors open and close effortlessly no matter where the furniture is placed. High-performance, Solar Ban, argon-insulated double-pane glass keeps cold air out and warm air in, saving money on energy costs. The increased glass efficiency allows for more glass area, permitting more visible and viewable light to enter and brighten the room.
Because every Stanek patio door is custom designed and custom manufactured, the homeowners were able to specify the color, size and style of the door. They chose a white door with white internal colonial grids to complement the home’s style and enameled white hardware for clean lines. The door is also equipped with Stanek Windows’ standard 3-point locking system for peace-of-mind security.
The Lake County homeowners couldn’t be more pleased with their new patio door and continue to recommend Stanek Windows by Great Day Improvements to their family and friends. They were particularly impressed with the locking mechanism, the limited lifetime warranty and friendly, prompt customer service.
