Stanek® Windows Retains Charm While Giving 1890s Home a Facelift
Stanek Windows Featured Project – August 2015
This 1890s Victorian home was in need of some love. And Stanek® Windows of West Allis, Wisconsin, provided that and more.
The windows of this century home were drafty and hard to open, the doors were insecure and the paint was peeling. The homeowners wanted to match the original window sizes and styles, but they found that impossible with many window brands. After two years of research and obtaining quotes, the homeowners chose Stanek® brand windows for their durability, performance and aesthetics, all at an affordable price.
Best of all, because Stanek® windows are custom designed and manufactured in the company’s production facility near Cleveland, Ohio, all the styles and sizes, even a 54”x70” double-hung window could be replicated. Unlike other window companies that use standard sizes from mass manufacturers, each Stanek® window is specifically made for the home and the opening into which it will be installed.
In all, 22 new windows were installed along with an entry door, storm door and insulated vinyl siding. The shake accents on the exterior were even matched to keep with the 1890s character of the home. A top-quality house wrap was also applied with the vinyl siding to further weatherproof the exterior.
Now, after a complete makeover by Stanek® Windows, the exterior of this grand old home is as charming as the interior!
