Stanek Windows and Doors Complete Energy-Efficient Addition
Stanek® Windows Featured Project – October 2016
Homeowners in Lewiston, NY, weren’t getting much use out of their open patio, especially with the Buffalo area’s harsh winters. They contacted Stanek Windows and Patio Enclosures® of West Seneca, NY, to design a custom living space that can be used year round.
After a free, in-home consultation with Design Consultant Andrew Mulichak, the in-house engineering staff at Stanek Windows was able to build a truly unique space that perfectly suits the couple and the complements their home. Custom-shaped, energy-efficient Stanek windows are situated in the peak of the gable roof to allow for abundant natural light and views of backyard and sky. Two-lite, sliding patio doors provide easy access to the backyard, as well as more views and natural light.
With the look of wood and the easy care and maintenance of vinyl, the windows and doors are engineered for long-term performance. A walnut woodgrain finish was chosen for the interior of the windows and doors, to complement the tongue and groove pine wallcovering and pine baseboards. On the outside, the vinyl windows and doors are white to match the exterior of the existing home.
The year-round room also features a Patio Enclosures roof system that is built with structural I-beams every three feet to withstand the Niagara County snows. The room was sided to match the exterior of the home and stone accents were added for visual interest.
The couple reports the room turned out wonderfully and is exactly what they wanted. They are very happy and would recommend Stanek Windows to anyone looking to expand their living area.
